ease of navigation, how social media is used to engage readers and grow traffic and any multi-media
(i.e. video)


WHO CAN ENTER

Any editor of a magazine website who has edited the site for at least six months during the period 1
August 2010 to 31 July 2011. It is not necessary for there to be a sister title in print
If there is a sister title in print the editor of this title may enter other categories where applicable - click

If your magazine website has launched since 1 April 2010 you must enter the launch category instead

TO ENTER YOU NEED TO

Complete the form below
Write a supporting statement of no more than 500 words which includes
- your editorial objectives for your magazine website
- average dwell time on the site
- level of engagement - how many pages people are looking at per visit
- performance compared to similar sites in your market (please state your source e.g. Alexa or other)
- a definition of your target audience and give an example of one initiative that has driven traffic
- how the site is organised i.e. how do you encourage readers to go beyond the home page
- how you've made the best use of resources (e.g.: staff, editorial budget, promotions, advertising, marketing)

You need to provide seven copies of the entry form, and of your supporting statement - photocopies are acceptable. All entries must be printed on A4 paper and should not be bound. Please keep a copy for your records
If there is a sister title in print, please send eight copies of the latest issue
You must send these, with payment if applicable, to the BSME office. Please make sure that the entry form and the supporting statement are signed by both the website editor and the publisher
If you were not a member of the BSME on 1 June 2011, a single payment of £150 inc VAT must accompany your entry. Please either enclose a cheque payable to the British Society of Magazine Editors or click here to pay online. A VAT receipt will be sent out in due course. However, if you are a BSME member or have paid to enter another category then no entry fee applies
Mark your entry BSME Awards and add the name of your own magazine website.

Entries will be accepted only between 10.00am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday
Incomplete entries will not be processed
Entries received from non-members without payment will not be processed
